SIGN Fracture Care International (SIGN) has created this Privacy Policy to explain why we collect particular information and how we will protect your personal privacy within our web site. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for the web site located at www.signfracturecare.org.

In order to fully understand your rights we encourage you to read this Privacy Policy. SIGN reserves the right at any time and without notice to change this Privacy Policy simply by posting such changes on our site. Any such change will be effective immediately upon posting.

What Information We Collect and How We Use That Information

We collect two types of information: standard web server traffic pattern information and information collected through our online donation forms. Standard web server traffic pattern information is comprised of general traffic, site usage, and length of stay information which is collected and stored in log files. This type of information is used to analyze and improve site content and navigation only and is not shared externally.

Staff members at SIGN who are directly involved with communication, accounting, fund raising, and/or web site administration collect information on the web site. SIGN employs companies to assist us with such functions as hosting our donor information database, websites, sending e-mail, and processing online and mail donations and credit card payments. These companies have access to personal donor information only as needed to perform their functions.

Our donation forms require users to give us contact information that may include name, email address, mailing address, and similar information. We use this information to contact you should there be a question about your donation. We also use this information to personalize communications to you to keep you informed about our programs and progress. If you do not wish to receive these communications, write to us at SIGN Fracture Care International, 451 Hills Street, Suite B, Richland WA 99354 and we will be pleased to respect your wishes.

SIGN does NOT rent or sell names of donors nor store sensitive information, such as credit card or social security numbers, from our donors.

Volunteer / Employment
All information gathered related to employment or volunteering is strictly private and will be viewed only by authorized SIGN employees. No information submitted will be used for any purpose other than to assess your qualifications as an employee or volunteer for SIGN.

Other Disclosures
Please be advised that we may disclose your personal information to the government or to third parties pursuant to law enforcement inquiries, court orders, subpoenas, and similar requests or when we otherwise believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary or appropriate in connection with any activity that violates the law or may expose us to liability.

Internet Protocol Address
We collect an IP address from all visitors to our site. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer’s router when you use the Internet. We use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our site, analyze trends, track users’ movement, gather broad demographic information in order for us to improve the site, and deliver customized, personalized content. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
